11 May 2016 by Page McLaughlin

Diversity in the workplace and creating a new economy through inclusive growth are set to be key topics at the Women in Business first annual Chair’s Lunch on 9th June.

Being held at Titanic Belfast, the largest local network for female business leaders and entrepreneurs expects to welcome 200 leading businesswomen and men from all sectors of industry across Northern Ireland.

Chair Imelda McMillan will host the event during which delegates will hear from a senior government official and Ellvena Graham, Chair of ESB and Chair of the new Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall Ltd Board.

“We are thrilled to announce our inaugural Chair’s Lunch at which we are to have two very distinguished guest speakers,” says Ms McMillan, who explains that appetite for the event has been strong.

“The timing of the lunch has really struck a chord with people. With the local elections behind us it’s clear everyone now wants to see decisive action from those in charge in order to help bring about a robust and vibrant new economy.

“Our vision for corporate diversity and inclusive growth is a vital ingredient in achieving this.”

“With more than 2,500 members, Women in Business continues to support and encourage women to reach their full potential in their careers as all the evidence suggests that this builds a more successful, profitable economy – a better economy for all.”

Ms McMillan goes on to explain; “As well as a platform to clearly articulate our organisation’s ethos and ambitions, the lunch is an ideal opportunity to network with peers, discuss and debate the issues, both micro and macro, affecting your business and learn more about our dynamic 2016 manifesto ‘Creating a New Economy’.”
