International speakers confirmed for ‘The Future of Business’ Conference

Women in Business has confirmed its guest speaker line up for ‘The Future of Business’ themed Conference in September.

From technology and big data to entrepreneurship and leadership to inspiring and entertaining, the ‘Future of Business Conference’ has it all covered.

Joining headline speaker Regina Moran, Head of Industry Sectors Business Application Services for Fujitsu EMEIA, are entrepreneur Norah Casey, owner of Ireland’s largest magazine publishing company Harmonia, Molly Harvey, a leading authority on leadership and cultural transformation and finally, writer, futurist, comedian and broadcaster Timandra Harkness.

Roseann Kelly, chief executive of Northern Ireland’s fastest growing network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders said; “Women in Business has an incredible line up of speakers on 22 September, each one of whom has an interesting and unique take on how the future of business looks and how we must adapt to it.

Norah Casey is owner and Chairwoman of Ireland’s largest magazine publishing company Harmonia, printing over four million magazines annually for the Irish, British and USA market and selling on average 2.6 million in the Irish market annually.

A journalist and former nurse, Norah was awarded Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year 2007/8, and has been Ireland’s Publisher of the Year no fewer than four times. She has served on numerous boards, and is currently a member of the Press Council of Ireland, the London-based Women’s Irish Network and The International Women’s Forum.

Molly Harvey is a leading authority on leadership and cultural transformation. By speaking to corporations around the world such as Bank of America, 3M and Santander together with over 500 other leading organisations worldwide, a key part of her experience is the ability to question and provoke audiences to think differently about the way they work and live.

A regular lecturer at Universities and speaker at the United Nations in New York, other achievements include becoming the first National Woman President and Fellow of the Professional Speakers Association in England 2005, past Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a founding member of the Association of Transformational Leaders Council, Europe.

Timandra Harkness is a writer, comedian and broadcaster, who specialises in scientific, mathematical and statistical topics.

Harkness has written about travel for the Sunday Times, motoring for the Telegraph, science & technology for WIRED, BBC Focus Magazine and Men’s Health Magazine, and on being ‘Seduced by Stats’ for Significance (the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society). She is a regular on BBC Radio, resident reporter on social psychology series The Human Zoo as well as writing and presenting documentaries and BBC Radio 4’s FutureProofing series.

‘The Future of Business’ Conference is being held on September 22 at the Ramada Plaza, Belfast.
