AER Lingus has won the ‘Best Airline from Belfast City Airport’, for the second year running at the Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards 2017, organised in association with Blue Insurance and staged at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa last Friday. The 26th Annual Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards gala was hosted by Pointless quiz show presenter Alexander Armstrong, with 35 different awards handed over in the various categories, as voted for by the Northern Irish travel trade. Yvonne Muldoon, Director of Sales at Aer Lingus Europe said; “We were delighted to be shortlisted in this category alongside our competitors British Airways, Flybe and KLM and to win is testament that our formula of successful routes, high standard of customer care and quality of product and service is the best of the best. “The results speak for themselves, we listen to our customers and give them the valued service they appreciate. Aer Lingus is in fact the only Irish airline to receive a 4-Star rating from Skytrax, which recognises our product offering, service and overall guest experience as word-class. We belong to a select group of only 40 airlines worldwide that can boast a 4-Star guest experience. “The needs of our passengers are central to everything we do and it is our staff that deliver the award-winning, world-class experience each day at the airport, on board and beyond. “I would like to thank the travel trade in NI for voting for us. This award further validates that our service and routes out of Belfast City Airport are proving exceptionally popular with our customers and we will continue to give the travelling public of Northern Ireland what they want.”
