Mount Charles today unveiled student restaurants in SRC’s brand new £35 million landmark campus in Armagh and it £15 million campus in Banbridge.

Re-Gen Waste is the largest sorting plant of mixed dry recyclables (MDR) in Ireland and is a one of Europe’s most advanced material recovery facilities.

Conor Murphy, Minister of Finance, visited Re-Gen Waste’s materials recovery facility in Newry, to hear about their significant investments over the last six months, dealing with Covid19, Brexit issues and innovation projects leading to diversification into new areas of activity.

Joseph Doherty, MD of Re-Gen Waste Ltd, one of Europe’s most advanced materials recovery facilities that processes waste for Councils across the UK, says that Government plans to scrap the lower rate of fuel duty on red diesel from April 2022, will add an extra £200,000 per annum cost to his company’s fuel bill.

A Christmas miracle came just in the nick of time this week, for Camlough father Patrick Doran, who accidentally skipped a bin bag full of toys, that his wife had purchased the very same day.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Minister to take a tour of the plant which has undergone a £9 million investment in the last four years.
